Hello and welcome to the 35th Eurovoice Song Contest! This is the second time that this contest is taking place in Saint Regina, the Nicoleizian Capital, and it will be a fantastic show! I, Stephanie DeVey, will be hosting this issue of Eurovoice, and I cannot wait for us to get started and hear Europe's vocal talent! The contest is going to take place at fabulous Romanov Arena, in downtown Saint Regina.

Rules

Entry:

This particular contest has no theme, any song may be entered. However, the organisers reserve the right to make final adjudication on whether a song is or is not appropriate to be performed at Eurovoice 35.

Voting:

The voting system will be made clear once the voting period is due to begin. Please send your votes to @Angleter and @Icholasen via telegram on NationStates or private message on Discord. Do not make your votes public. Any votes cast incorrectly or after the end of the voting period may be rejected, and their admissibility is entirely at the discretion of the organisers.

Timescale:

Entry deadline – 23.59 (GMT), 5th of August, 2019
Voting begins – 00.01 (GMT), 6th of August, 2019

Welcome one and all to the Romanov Arena, in downtown Icholasen. Icholasen is a country that is enamoured with Eurovoice, we live and breathe this competition. So much so, we have a Ministry of Eurovoice lead by Paloma Faith the member of the Nonet for Saint Regina. She has organised this Eurovoice Song Contest in collaboration with both the Dominion of Saint Regina government, and the National government and we in Icholasen are so proud of our Minister for Eurovoice. Icholasen has hosted Eurovoice one time before, however this Eurovoice is a Eurovoice of firsts. It is the first time that Malborya and Vayinaod are taking part! It is an honour to welcome these two countries to this Eurovoice song contest. It is also the first time that we’ll announce the 1 point and the 12 points… at the same time. That’s right! Due to the fact that there are no surplus countries this time to give the votes to once the 10 points is given out everyone will know who has the 12 points. To avoid a lack of suspense for the crucial 12 points we will withhold both the 12 and the 1 points until the end. This means you could be closer to the golden 12 points, or just closer to 1 point. The stakes are high, and expectations can be easily subverted in this, the 35th edition of Eurovoice.
