It is with great pleasure that I receive your letter inviting both my wife, Queen Leticia, and myself on a State visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.

I am writing this telegram to accept that invitation, and to express our great desire and excitement to revisit a friendly country such as the United Kingdom. I hope that on this visit we will be able to honour together the memory of Uncle Philip, who left us a year ago, and for whom we had great affection and love.
