The Anastacopalan Kingdom has been founded, with George Maxwells as regent

They say second parts are never good, but this time it seems it will be different. With Haaneans, Copalans and Anastasians uniting forces, a glorious victory has been achieved. Finally, after years of fights and prosecution from two different states, the people has got what they have long been awaiting for: independence. A project that started with the secret invasion with sticks and knieves of an inhabited land, which was then built up recreating the old Anastasia and Copala Cities, while building new, modern ones.

An endeavor planned over the past few months, the conquest and establishment of the Anastacopalan Kingdom, organized by a broad front of Copalan and Anastasian associations and parties now united in the Coalition for Independence and Common Prosperity, was led by a small group of one thousand settlers, all former residents of Copala and Anastasia City. These, the first heroes of this new state, steered their way through the treacherous waters of the Mediterranean to land at last on the shores of the Kingdom, there quickly defeating the native tribes to found the cities, New Copala and New Anastasia, in which they now live.

Over the week after this initial victory, large amounts of supplies to construct housing, roads, and basic utilities, in addition to food, arrived with even more settlers by boat, and later by plane, in a process funded in part by the Coalition but also through the philanthropy of the Ueliohen family, which controls a number of international corporations and holds significant wealth. With this support, alongside the work of the arrivals, Anastacopala has already found itself well-developed and welcome to even more settlers, who continue to stream in by the hour.

However, not everything has been done by the Anastacopalan people alone, as it has been mentioned before. Where did they get everything from? The answer, ones again, lies within the deep secrets of European politics, or it used to, just before it is unveiled today: Spain has been key in the success of such an endeavour. The boats, the planes, most of the equipment that was once employed to bring supplies has been leased by the Spanish Government, the first European Government to oficially recognise the nation and that has already sweared to protect Anastacopala from any foreign interferences.

Now, a new horizon can be seen from the hills of the new Mount Rushmore in Copala's Forest (New Copala City), with a prosperous future ahead. The Anastacopalan Kingdom is finally the land many once dreamt, and died dreaming of.

Archbishop and Secretariat Sworn-in Following Pink Wave

The Archbishop celebrates being handily re-elected

The College of Bishops met to today to elect the Archbishop of the Inquistan Orthodox Church. Archbishop Mikaela Kligenberg was re-elected in the first round with 161 votes, while Bishop Michael Cunard received 76 votes and Bishop Karinn Lallana received 3 votes.

The Archbishop was supported by her legion of 149 allied bishops who were elected under the Kligenbergist tent, as well as the 11 bishops who were elected under the Reformist banner, including Bishop Secretary Anja Emerett.

The formerly Reformist bishops announced they would support the Archbishop and join her bloc following the election results. While the Kligenbergist Bloc was already 150 members strong, the additional 11 members will be quite welcome, as they will provide the governing bloc with a super majority, which requires 159 voting members of the 240 member legislature. A super majority within the College of Bishops will allow the Archbishop to accelerate or circumvent certain aspects of the legislative process, diminishing the political tools of her opponents.

The Archbishop then swore-in the Church Secretariat, the executive body of the Church. Silas Kligenberg has been named Chief Secretary, which means the Archbishop's cousin will have his hands in much of the Archbishop's proposed legislation. Chief Bishop Kligenberg has been considered an inside architect of the Archbishop's New Public Propserity agenda.

Antoni Reynels has been named as the new Bishop Secretary of State, replacing Bishop Secretary Emerett. Despite being sworn-in as the country's new Secretary of State, Bishop Secretary Reynels also continues to serve as the European Commissioner of Foreign Affairs.

Bishop Secretary Emerett was also named to the Secretariat, making herself the only former Reformist to make it into the executive body, perhaps for her decision to join the Archbishop and provide her bloc with a super majority, and heal any linger divides between the cohort of former allies. The Bishop Secretary was made the new Home Secretary, which is a brand new position born out of a merger between the Secretariats of Public Safety and Immigration and Citizenship. Bishop Secretary Emerett's new position represents neither a promotion nor a demotion from her previous position as Secretary of State, as the Home Secretary will be considered a core Secretariat position. Bishop Secretary Emerett herself was once a longtime civil servant within the Church's Immigration Secretariat, was Secretary for Immigration under Archbishop Alexander Kligenberg, and is popular with both Sahrawi and Czech immigrant communities, and so makes an ideal fit for the position.

With the exception of the Home Secretary, all other positions within the Church Secretariat are made up of members of the Klingenbergist Bloc who had previously pledged their loyalty to the Archbishop. The Church Secretariat has been slimmed down to 21 members, representing 19 secretariats and 2 executive offices. The previous Secretariat maintained gender parity between members, but the new Secretariat features only 9 men, while 12 women make up the majority. This is the first ever woman-majority Secretariat in the history of the Inquistan Orthodox Church.

The Archbishop and the Church Secretariat are now tasked with executing on their bold and ambitious election pledges, which notably includes implementing New Public Prosperity. While a mountain of work lies ahead, the governing bloc has mustered a super majority to move things forward, and otherwise faces little opposition.

In spite of the Archbishop's sweeping victory, Bishop Lallana managed to cling onto re-election as Inquista's Councillor to the European Union, barely managing a comeback during the second round of voting before reaching a decisive victory in the final round. The Archbishop and Councillor have promised to work cordially together despite their political differences, which could certainly develop into a closer working relationship as the Archbishop's fiancé appears poised to become a European Commissioner under Bishop Lallana's Everyone's Front eurogroup.

It has always been my mission in life to return happiness to the people. When I was five years old, I was sitting in the middle of school and was eating a cake. Many children, I saw, were unhappy because they did not have the cake I did, and were crying nearby. Unhappiness always makes me unhappy, so I tried to cheer them up. I told them that they had to be happy with their lot in life and had to work for what they wanted, and that handouts would only make them more sad. After that, they cried only tears of joy.

Now I am an adult, and in Europe I again see a lot of unhappiness among the people, and I am again unhappy because of it. But this unhappiness is not because people do not have what they want. People are unhappy now because what they deserve has been taken from them.

The people of Europe work to pay for the Union. They work to keep it alive. But the Union gives nothing back to them but bad governance. In some ways this has improved recently. Fishers and farmers, for example, now get lots of money from it, and now they are all Juncker and European fanatics. But for most people this is not the case. For most people, the Union is still like some sort of useless blob that absorbs their labor and their money.

Who would not be unhappy with a useless blob sucking away at everything you have? No one, nobody.

I want the Union to stop being a useless blob. That is why I am running. That is why I have made the promises I have. I will repeat them now, and explain them clearly, so that all of you can understand how I want to save Europe and return happiness to you all.

I will put a stop to the nonsense visions for Europe. A lot of Commissioners have gone and said that they will try some grand reform. Biden wanted to reform how the Council worked, so many different people, Kalessed, Juncker, wanted to put sovereignty-based restrictions in the Constitution, and so on and so on. In the end all they waste is time and money, because no one wants their reforms. Therefore, I will not make any useless proposals of that type, because they only take away the people's money and create with it nothing but tiresome, fruitless debates.

If I want Constitutional reform - and I do, I want to make sure that random laws are not forced down people's throats - I will only get it done by guiding the Council in so and so direction. I will talk with Councillors and express my opinions, and when there are enough Councillors present I will talk about my ideas in discussion. It is the Council's responsibility to make reform, and I will let it do so. All I will do is guide and influence it so that it makes the right and good reforms, not the bad ones.

I will also put a stop to the nonsense bickering in the Council. No one wants to hear about random personal grievances or about issues that have been discussed a thousand times. I will firstly keep a list of issues that have been resolved, so that the Councillors cannot lie to argue more about them, and also create a giant wall of shame outside of the Commission and Council buildings where the faces of Councillors who argue about nonsense too much will go, so that they will be embarassed and will stop.

I will also make sure that Europe responds to real and ongoing problems. Rather than making a mountain out of a molehill, I will listen to the happenings in Europe, and offer help and mediation when something bad happens. I will also treat problems we already know about with good and productive legislation. Juncker's Agricultural Fund, which helped to solve the problem of credit for farmers, is one example of this, and I will expand on it. I will offer credit with a fund for technology entrepreneurs and open the Arts Collaboration Fund to all artists. I will also propose a system of climate pledges, where a country can pledge to reduce emissions by such-and-such amount and receive subsidies in return.

More importantly, I will change the ways European laws come into force. The Constitution gives the IAC the power to enforce the interpret and enforce the laws. I want to work with whoever the IAC may be to make sure that this is done and that people understand how it is done, all in a way that is better for the member-states and for all of you in general.

Lastly, I will improve transparency. Whenever we do something, I will be sure to explain it, in clear words so that everyone can understand, through the European Commission App, and then talk about how it returns happiness to the people so that they can know how it benefits them and can feel like the Union is more than a useless faraway blob.

Proposal for EDA Reform
I will propose the following proposal for EDA reform. The proposal will split the fund into two funds the General Grant and Loan Fund for applications under 2,000,000,000 Euros accessible to third sector and government agencies which will be administrated by a board appointed by the the EU for various areas of development with boards specialised in Transport, Energy and Utilities , Retail and Industrial Development and Technology with a General Board for everything else. These should consist of 3 members from each country that will then give advice to the boards based on national knowledge they have. this fund shall report to the EU to ensure accountability. Any bids over 2 Billion Euros shall come out of a separate fund called the Supergrant Fund this will operate with the Commissioner approval system and European Council votes as back up as is the current system with the key difference that if a commissioner fails to vote on proposals withing 7 days of the deadlines multiple times they will be removed from office. The General Grant Fund shall have a minimum of 65% allocated to it and shall have application offices in all countries to make making applications easier. The Super Grant Fund shall get the remaining fund allocations. This is a good compromise between keeping the the commissioner system exclusively and going fully to national boards for EDA development which was voted against in the council

Inquistan Councillor Results

Inquistans elect their European Councillor using an AV voting system. The lowest placing candidate will be eliminated each round, and all candidates which fail to meet the 15% threshold will be eliminated on the first round. Voting rounds will continue until a candidate has secured more than 50% of the vote.

Ms. Phillips (Labour): Number one, Mr. Speaker.

The Prime Minister: I'd like to, first, call attention to Armed Forces Day. We consistently thank their protection of our society. We also commemorate the HMS Empire Windrush and the immense contribution of that generation to our modern society. This morning, I had meetings with ministerial colleagues and others. In addition to my duties in this House, I shall have further such meetings later today.

Ms. Phillips: The ONS have shown our HDI and poorest incomes have consistently risen since our election. Does this show Labour has our most vulnerable at heart?

The Prime Minister: What the validation of our policies the ONS have shown. If you take care of the most vulnerable, everyone benefits.

His Majesty's Leader of the Opposition (Conservative): I'd first like to associate myself with the Prime Minister's remarks on the armed forces and those whocame with the Windrush. The same ONS report also shows a decline in disposable income and higher tax burden. How are we going too make people better off with that trend?

The Prime Minister: Tax burden isn't the only marker of being well off. Everywhere else but the region of Southern England have properly funded services. Even Fine Gael led Ireland is better off with our policies. Tory led Southern England, the Tory bastion is questionnable.

I would disagree that putting in applications for culturally and economically relevent sustainable development projects is "vanity, virtue signalling projects" just because they are projects that might not work in the UK context. Each country is different and many of the projects work well in a Duchian context , it is important the EDA and EU recognise this and quit trying to force their model of development in our project proposals or deny funding just because it doesn't match their countries views on sustainable development or what would work in their country.

Having said that I do believe an EDA scheme for subsidies for Grid upgrades and development of Battery storage facilties to strengthen the grid for renewables as well as developing capacity for grid to vehicle and vehicle to grid transfer of energy is essential and so is a good idea to put EDA funds towards , however if this is to be done it cannot continue to go through three commissioners like it currently does it must go through a panel of experts in that area.I would support a motion or act for EDA funds going to such types of projects.I would also dispute the EDA works as is, an agency with a 47.1 Billion Euro budget that has yet to spend a single Euro 6 months in is not an agency working. If it was a government department in any nation or a business unit it would have been shut down long ago for incompetance and waste for holding such a large amount of funds without doing anything.
